The Thanksgiving Special

Posted on November 22, 2013 by Emma

IT’S BACK!

The finger lickin’, salvia inducing wonder that hits Dat Dog only once a year…

The Thanksgiving Dog!!!!

Here for another week and undoubtedly one of our most popular specials, this dog costs $6.50 and is available at both stores.

Seriously what could be better than one of our Turducken sausages topped with cranberry sauce, white bread stuffing and onions tucked up inside one of our steamed and toasted sourdough buns?

This is how we feel right now…

TUSTEP Fundraiser

Posted on November 17, 2013 by Emma

Just look at this adorable little face. This is Kipper. Kipper is a local seeing eye dog and a part of TUSTEP (Tulane University Seeing-Eye Dog Training and Education Program).

Kipper will be joining us at Dat Dog on Freret today (Sunday 17th November) to raise awareness and much needed funds for TUSTEP to help with the costs of raising service dogs. Join us from 13:00 - 18:00 to meet Kipper, find out about TUSTEP and how you can help and whilst you’re here try one of our special Kipper Dog’s! What’s a Kipper dog you ask? It’s one of our juicy Guinness sausages topped with cheddar cheese, diced onions, pico de gallo and guacamole. Of course, a portion will be donated to TUSTEP.

Come support this incredibly important cause with us!

This week’s specials…

Posted on November 5, 2013 by Emma

Another week gone by, another week closer to Christmas. But no need to start panicking! Come down and see us at Dat Dog this week, chill out and perhaps enjoy this week’s specials.

In the blue corner we have the German Punch. This fearsome dog is a hot bratwurst topped with house made andouille sauce, grilled onions, jalapeños and Creole mustard. As always, the special of the week is yours to enjoy for $6.50.

In the red corner we have the Uptown Margarita. She may seem dainty but lemme’ tell you she’s not for the faint hearted, she packs a mean punch!

See you soon!
