As most of you are well aware, we are within touching distance of our new store on Frenchmen St opening. We’re so majorly excited about this (and hope you are too!!) and will keep you up to date with all the news in the run up to opening.
We’d love to hear from you; what you’re most looking forward to, what you’d like to see and whether you’ll be one of our regulars at Frenchmen! Leave us a comment on our Facebook page or send us a Tweet!
It’s that time again, time to get your taste buds tingling with our weekly special! This week’s special (in fact, it will run through to Fat Tuesday) will be one of our pork wieners, grilled to perfection dressed with dill relish, cheese, Asian slaw, mustard and red cabbage. This will be available in both of our stores.
Team this with our cocktail special of the week; the Dog’s Day Remedy…the perfect cure for any hangover!
With Mardi Gras just around the corner, we’ve got something extra special in store (or should that be ‘out’ store) for you!!
We wouldn’t want you to miss out on any of the festivities so we’ve pulled together some awesome parade pack options for Mardi Gras for you to show off in front of your friends!
Dogs will be cut into thirds for easy sharing and wrapped in foil to stay warm. Our delicious toppings will packaged on the side to keep your dogs as fresh as possible. We have two tasty options for you to enjoy:

As we all know, the weather these past few weeks has just been insane. I don’t know about you but we certainly needed a little cheering up and for us, that came on Saturday in the form of a glowing review and number 1 spot on Thrillist’s ‘The Eight Coolest Restaurants in New Orleans‘. We were nestled alongside some other pretty awesome NOLA places including;
Toups Meatery, Green Goddess, Pizza Delicious, Maurepas Foods, Root and Cochon Butcher. Make sure to check them all out sometime if you haven’t already! OR how about the ultimate COOLEST RESTAURANTS IN NEW ORLEANS CRAWL. That would be breakfast, brunch, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack, midnight feast! …on second thoughts, maybe we’re getting a little carried away with ourselves.
We’re always so, so grateful to receive the praise that we do, so a massive thank you to Thrillist. And a massive thank you to you lot, our loyal customers for braving the cold and continuing to come say hi and get your hot dog fix.
Anyway…to cheer you all up, perhaps some GIFs of George Takei shakin’ his thang will put a smile on your faces!
Just a quick message to let ya’ll know about this week’s specials!
We’ve got the Bratwurks and the Garden District Collins as our stars for this week which I think is a match made in heaven!
The Bratwurks is a juicy bratwurst smothered with andouille, grilled sauerkraut, bacon bits and chipotle mayo, wrapped in one of our steamed and toasted sourdoughs. Team this with our mighty refreshing Garden District Collins and you’ve got the meal of the Gods!
Mmmmmm, you can almost smell it through the screen right?
Awesome news Dat Dog fans! We’ve been selected as one of the best restaurants in America by the editors of LocalEats! LocalEats is a website and a phone app guide for local and independant restaurants. Thanks guys!
